Born on July 21, 2002, and adopted at the age of two, Elysian’s early years were marked by instability. After her adoptive father was incarcerated and her adoptive mother returned her to the foster system, music became her only constant. She joined the Young People’s Chorus of Erie at just five years old — a full year before the official age cutoff — and instantly fell in love with singing. Her creative journey began with a fifth-grade poetry project, where she discovered a deep connection to writing and expression.

From then on, writing became her secret sanctuary — a place where unspoken thoughts could live safely on the page. She wrote lyrics in journals, sang melodies under her breath, and let music fill the void that loss and abandonment left behind. Even at a young age, she understood the healing power of song. In every rehearsal, school recital, or solitary moment spent humming in her bedroom, Elysian was unknowingly shaping the artist she would later become.
